Home of the Brave
Movies May 11th, 2008Home of the Brave.
I can see what they are trying to get across with this movie. But they downplay the destruction America brought upon Iraq. They make Americans the victims. Anyway there is much to say about this movie but i would rather not go there. There were victims on both sides. Innocent inhabitants and soldiers were either killed or their lives changed drastically. There were families that agreed and supported the soldiers and there were family members who detested the war and were angered with the people fighting it.
I think the war sucks, and it should never have happened. But hey what do i know. What do we know of what REALLY happens out there in this world. My opinion SUSH BUCKS.
BUCK FUSH !!!
The day after they get the word they’ll go home in two weeks, a group of soldiers from Spokane are ambushed in an Iraqi city. Back stateside we follow four of them - a surgeon who saw too much, a teacher who’s a single mom and who lost a hand in the ambush, an infantry man whose best friend died that day, and a soldier who keeps reliving the moment he killed a civilian woman. Each of the four has come home changed, each feels dislocation. Group therapy, V.A. services, halting gestures from family and colleagues, and regular flashbacks keep the war front and center in their minds. They’re angry, touchy, and explosive: can a warrior find peace back home? Written by { jhailey at hotmail.com}
